Chuck Knight – bio


Chuck was born in Myrtle Point Oregon and grew up in Christian home. After

graduation from Coquille High School he joined the Army where he served as a Military

Policeman in Germany.


Upon discharge from the Army Chuck was hired by the Coos Bay, Oregon Police

Department. Chuck rose through the rank and was appointed Chief of Police where he

served until his retirement. Chuck was a guest speaker at various functions including

DARE graduations, community events, and hosted chief’s prayer breakfasts. He was

also an instructor in Criminal Justice at Southwest Oregon Community College.

Chuck is a graduate of Southwest Oregon Community College in Coos Bay, and Linfield

University in McMinnville, Oregon. He is a graduate of the National FBI Academy in

Quantico, Virginia.


In 2008 Chuck was ordained as a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ after meeting all

requirements for ordination at Calvary Church on the Bay in North Bend, Oregon.

Chuck's position was to preach in the absence of the Senior Pastor and conduct other

church business including officiating at weddings and funerals, leading men’s Bible

study, visitations, and other duties as assigned.


Chuck has been a guest speaker at several churches in the Coos Bay area and the

coast of Oregon. He was the speaker at a men’s Bible retreat men’s retreat in Monroe

Washington.


Chuck is married to Dalette Knight they have four daughters and eleven grandchildren

and four great grandchildren.  They now call Real Hope Community Church their home.
