OUR STORY

How it all started...

In 1983 Westside Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Olympia, Washington wanted to plant a church in the neighboring city of Lacey. A group of seven families started meeting in a home for prayer and Bible study.  On Easter in 1986 they began renting a facility and four years later the current building was dedicated for ministry.

The Christian and Missionary Alliance is a denomination started by Albert Simpson.  With enthusiasm and energy his simple goal was to reach as many people for Christ in creative ways. He started everything from churches, camps, colleges, street revivals, youth events, missions to a magazine publication. With a deep dependence on the Holy Spirit to direct and guide, he labored unrelentingly.

Where we are headed...

We are grateful to God for the lives that have been changed through the faithfulness of many over the past 30 years. Real Hope  is entering a new season.

Pastor Bob Setzer and his wife Sharon came to the church in May 2018 and are excited to team with this community as we move ahead and seek to build lasting relationships, grow strong in our faith, and bring Real Hope to the people in our community and around the world.
